City
Hall office is located one block south of
the city square on 15th Street.
The City of Clarinda provides the
following
services:
- The city maintains: Water - Sewer
- Storm Sewers - Streets - Lied Indoor
Recreation Center -Parks & Recreation - Airport & Hangar Rentals -
City Cemetery Records - Police Protection - Fire & Rescue Protection -
Animal Control - Library - Building Permits
- As there are no local offices for the gas,
electric and cable companies in Clarinda. City
Hall is a pay agent for some of those utilities. You may pay your
water/sewer, electric & cable bill at City Hall. There is drive up drop box, curb side of City Hall to leave your
payments if the office is closed.
- The city maintains a "Yard Waste" facility
located near the City Airport to dump your leaves, tree limbs and grass
clipping.
- The City signed a "Sister City"
relationship with Tamana, Japan in 1996. They continue to create a cultural understanding
and long term relationship through the sister city program.
